An image captured at the renowned big wave surfing spot in Hout Bay, South Africa. This day was one for the books, for both myself to finally witness these rolling giants up close, and for the local surfers that scored iconic rides on a wave that only works this well on a select few days of the year.

5% of proceeds will be donated to the ‘Sentinel Ocean Alliance’, an organisation founded by one of the big wave surfers out this day, Frank Solomon. The SOA runs comprehensive and immersive programmes that provide ocean education and experiences to the underprivileged youth of South Africa’s coastal communities. (www.sentineloceanalliance.org)
