A photograph taken while hanging from the open door of a helicopter overlooking Schaapen Island, situated in the West Coast National Park, South Africa. Since access to the island was banned, marine life and bird life has improved, and it is now a protected bird sanctuary home to many ibis and kelp gull’s, who are joined in flight by the thousands of kite surfers that visit this renowned area in the summer months.
15% of proceeds will be donated to ‘Bird Life SA’. An organisation that strives to conserve birds, their habitats and biodiversity through scientifically-based programmes and the sustainable and equitable use of natural resources. (https://www.birdlife.org.za/)
